Stressed? Me too.

The life of a high-schooler is naturally filled with stress and anxiety. The good news is: there’s a way to get rid of it.

I’ve been really stressed out lately with school, events, and just life in general. There’s just not enough time in a day (like we haven’t all heard that before). There’s a lot of pressure that comes with ninth grade–and every year after that. And it’s not just getting good grades and making sure your hair doesn’t look like you just rolled out of bed. Being a Christian, there’s a lot of other stuff you have to worry about on top of that. For example, I always worry that I’ll say something wrong, hypocritical, or even downright unbiblical in my blog posts. I have to set a good example and try extra hard to not mess up.

The truth is, I’m human. I will undoubtedly say something wrong, get a bad grade on a test, or have frizzy hair. That’s just life.

We, as Christians, need to stop worrying about everything and stressing out all the time. It’s a detriment to us; it doesn’t solve anything. The Bible says in Matthew 6:27, “Can any of you add one moment to his life span by worrying?” The answer is no.

So I encourage you to pray, just as I do, that you won’t get caught up in your stress. “[Cast] all your cares on Him, for He cares for you.” ~1 Peter 5:7

Learning to live a stress-free life is a process, but I have faith that it’s achievable through Christ. Cast your cares on Him with me today.
