Hey guys! I’ve been really busy with trying to finish up my schoolwork for the summer (I’ve still got another week or two X_X) so I haven’t had much time to post! But something happened last weekend that I thought I should share with y’all. I just got done cleaning my room and realized that I actually had time to write something, so here it is–finally!
Last Saturday, I came home from youth group and decided to practice playing ukulele. I’ve only learned a few songs so far, so I just played them over and over. Those songs were Do It Again, So Will I (100 Billion X), and Build My Life. It had been a long time since we sang any of those in church or youth group, and I had the thought that it would be really cool if they played one of them in church the next morning. I didn’t say it out loud. I only thought it. And it wasn’t even a prayer necessarily–just a thought.
But during church the next morning, guess what one of the first songs was? Do It Again.
In that moment (the moment they began playing the song), I felt amazed. Like, “wow, God, I didn’t even pray that but you still listened!” It’s very comforting to know that the God of the universe listens to my thoughts. He doesn’t just hear me when I pray, He also knows my thoughts! How cool is that?
If you feel like your prayers aren’t going past the ceiling, or that God doesn’t care about you or your feelings anymore, just remember that He knows everything about you. Every thought, every feeling, every motive–EVERYTHING about you. And the amazing part is, He still loves you! He is madly in love with you, just like the song Good Grace says. He is there with you, and He is listening. Always remember that!
