Hey guys, I hope your weekend is going well so far. Mine certainly is! 😀
I wrote a song the other day called “Walk by Faith,” and it reflects my heart towards God right now. He’s been teaching me and showing me recently that I have to just surrender all to Him and watch Him work. Surrendering all might require me to actually do something, step out in faith, or simply wait on Him, but whatever He’s asking me to do I want to do it. I want to live my life for Him in every way.
It’s not always going to be easy–as I’ve seen in my life already–but I know it’s way worth it. The will of God is the very best place to be. For me, giving God anything less than my all just isn’t an option.
I wrote this song to express to God how much I trust Him and how dedicated to Him I am. As the song says, “my understanding got me nowhere, and now I’m turned around.” When I try to rely on my own understanding, nothing miraculous happens and I often find myself spiritually “stuck.” But when I take my hands off of things and give it to God–even if it doesn’t make sense initially–God takes it and shows me that He is capable of far more than I could have dreamed of had I done it my own way. Even if it doesn’t make sense at first, God’s way is always better. The surrendered life is the blessed life.
You can check out “Walk by Faith” on the brand-new page called “Songs I Wrote.” I’ve linked all of the songs that I’ve written so far on there. Some of them have been in previous posts while others may not have been. I tried to list them in the order that I wrote them, from newest to oldest, but some may have been reversed because I don’t remember exactly when I wrote each one. But yeah, feel free to check out any of my songs! Plus, I just updated my list of favorite songs so make sure to take a look at that page as well!
Always remember that God loves you more than you can fathom and wants to do big things through you. He truly can “feed the 5,000” with the little that you have. All you have to do is walk by faith.
